Inexplicable crying
From July 2026, we will start helping parents with babies under 1 year old who are crying inexplicably.
What do we do?
It's tough having a baby who cries inexplicably, especially at night, and you can't sleep because of it. You look for solutions where it is difficult to find the cause and it is unclear who can help you. We will work with you to investigate what you can do yourself, what steps you can take, where you can find specific help and how you can increase your capacity.

Who are we?
We are Joyce Sikking and Suzanne Kuiper-Ruardi. We have known each other since 2024 when we met several women and were instructed to look at someone without saying anything. Our eyes found each other and our souls found each other without words. Our friendship only grew closer over time. Joyce came as a maternity nurse during Suzanne's maternity week and that deepened the friendship, also with Suzanne's partner and of course newborn son. Unfortunately, the time after the maternity week did not go as smoothly as hoped for Suzanne and her husband. Baby Loef was super sweet during the day, but cried inexplicably when he had to sleep. Their search for help was met with many closed doors and misunderstanding. Although they had a good network of people who were eager to help, they became extremely tired.
After three months Suzanne collapsed, and after six months so did her partner. Little Loef was still crying inexplicably. Their search during Loef's first year of life gave them a lot of experience with the current existing care and a good insight into the problems. As a maternity nurse, Joyce also recognized the problems of families with inexplicably crying babies. It broke her heart that it was such a difficult road for everyone and a traumatic experience for many. Joyce herself also experienced postpartum depression after her pregnancies. Which means she knows better than anyone how intense this period can be, whether you have a crying baby or not. Suzanne and Joyce decided to tackle this topic together and look for a solution, also for other families with babies who cry inexplicably.
